When most people think of hockey hair, they imagine a full head of hair that trails behind a skater like the tail of a majestic comet. Here’s a quick look at some of the best hockey hair styles found today as well as some tips for maintaining the perfect hockey head.
TIPS FOR PERFECT HOCKEY HAIR
1. Choose your flow: With so many fantastic, famous manes in hockey history, you’re sure to find one that fits the look you want. Bring a photo — or better yet, a hockey card — to the barber for inspiration.
2. Go with the flow: Good things come to those who wait. That goes for hockey hair, too. The regular season is a long grind. Expect to wait at least a few months before your hair begins to grow in the way you want.
3. Shape it up: After your hair grows to the length you want, be sure to return to the barber to have it tamed even further with a shaping cut. This should clean up the back and ears without taking anything off the top or front.
4. Goal: All your hard work and patience will be rewarded with a glorious shock of hockey hair, but don’t rest on your laurels for too long. Make sure you get to the barber for a touch-up whenever you need. Also, get professional advice from your barber about the type of hair care and styling products that work best for your hair.
